My 10 Summer A1 Illustrations.

My aim for the summer (personally) was to do 10 A1 illustrations based on feelings or things people had said to me, I am really satisfied with the outcome.

I hope ya’ll like them :)

This is an example of the works I like to create and an insight on the kind of work I love to make. A lot of what I do is based on experience, thoughts, words and even the likes of music and film.

During the summer of my first year at University I had a mental aim of wanting to create 10 A1 pieces of work and the more I did the more I felt at ease with my own style and creating these shapes which then expanded into an image.

These examples minus the owl and the lion piece where all purely made on spontaneity and a very big creative outburst from finishing University and the response to my lion piece from 12 labours of hercules brief in first year.

The 12 Labours of Hercules.
The response to this piece of work is crazy!!

This piece of work is from first year, this piece of work took around 22 hours to make drawing and colouring in and it was a non stop working piece. I felt like I responded to the brief in the best way I could possible and I liked my social connection to the piece being that wearing fur is wront and it being the 1st labour of Hercules where a lion was skinned for Hercules to wear.
- The response to this piece of work really gave me a boost and the need to want to draw more!

My poster up in the exhibition space.
During the past couple of days I have been working away trying to come up with a poster concept that wasn’t a bit naff or a cop out just so I could get it in the exhibition. I wanted something that was me and something I could say I was happy with.
The curator of the show suggested that I use my own work as he saw me show a girl on my course, they’re a couple of design/print flaws but overall I am pleased.
I hope ya’ll like it :) x
